The Naperville Newcomers and Neighbors Club wants to help you get involved with your community.
The group held its annual Kick-Off Coffee event at the Municipal Center to help more than 40 activities groups meet interested newcomers.
Groups at the kick-off included language clubs, book clubs and cooking clubs.
Event organizers say the great thing about all the activities is they are welcoming people of all ages.
“It’s also a great equalizer because most the things that we do are free or of very nominal cost,” said Anne Henriksen, President of the Naperville Newcomers and Neighbors Club. “People are just here to make friends. That’s the short and long of it. We’re all here to make friends to keep friends and to feel like we’re really established in the City of Naperville.”
