The Naperville Area Humane Society is one step closer to beginning construction on its expansion.
Setbacks Approved
The Planning and Zoning Commission approved variances to reduce the required building and parking setbacks on the property. This will allow the humane society to push their current building out to build a 4,600 square-foot addition that will include a lobby, more kennel space, and a community room.
It will all come at a cost of $1.5 million.
The commission’s vote now goes to city council for final approval.
