Hearing in Metra Shooting

Edward Klein was in DuPage County Court for a discharge hearing recently.

The man who shot an Amtrak conductor at a Naperville Metra station was recently in court for a discharge hearing.

80-year-old Edward Klein was ruled mentally unfit to stand trial, and it is now up to Judge Jeffrey Mackay to determine if he should be acquitted, or committed to a mental health facility.

Attorneys argued in court about whether Klein was acting with intent when he shot Michael Case back in May. The judge will make his ruling on January 5.
