Celebrating a milestone 30th birthday this weekend, the DuPage Children’s Museum opened its doors for some fun.
“We started in 1987, so we decided to kind of end our celebrations on our actual birthday weekend to culminate everything into that confetti celebration was what we were really hoping for. And we knew we wanted something coming out of a birthday cake so we thought why not confetti, that was something fun and messy that the kids could enjoy,” said Membership and Visitor Services Team Leader, Cassie Coffey.
And there were plenty of activities for kids of all ages to enjoy in the big celebration.
“With the opening of AWEsome Water we wanted to have different birthday activities that we based on steam concepts- So science, technology, engineering, art, and math,” said Coffey.
Also open for exploration was the new exhibit, AWEsome water.
The DuPage Children’s Museum will host its awesome transportation weekend on July 15 and 16.
