Four people were injured today in a two car crash at the intersection of Hobson Road and Wehrli Road, with the driver of one car sustaining life-threatening injuries.
Driver Allegedly Ran Red Light:
Police say at around 1:10 p.m., a 66-year-old Naperville woman heading north on Wehrli Road in a 2019 silver Subaru Forester allegedly ran a red light, and was struck by a 2019 green Subaru Outback heading west on Hobson.
Four Hospitalized, One With Life Threatening Injuries:
The 21-year old Streamwood man driving the Outback was not injured, but the driver of the Forester was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Also injured and taken for care were her two passengers, and a passenger from the Outback.
Police Investigation:
The intersection was shut down for just over three hours while police investigated the scene.
