Family Pet Dies in Naperville House Fire

A house fire on the 100 block of Tupelo Avenue in Naperville resulted in the death of the homeowner’s dog.

The Naperville Fire Department responded to the call just before 2 p.m. today. 24 fire personnel were on scene, and went to work extinguishing the blaze, which started in the kitchen. No residents were home at the time, but the family dog died in the fire. The residence was deemed uninhabitable.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
