D204 Principals Honored | Children’s Lunch Hour | All-State Lacrosse

D204 Principals Honored

At last night’s Indian Prairie School District 204 board meeting, two principals were honored. Lena Guerrieri from Kendall Elementary School, and Steve Severson from Gregory Middle School, were presented plaques by the board for their dedication and service to the district. Combined, the two have spent more than 40 years within the district, with 27 years as principals at their respective schools.

NPD Donates to Oaken Acres

The Naperville Police Department recently presented a check for $1,175 to Oaken Acres Wildlife Center. The center was chosen for their role in an incident in May 2018 when a car struck a pregnant deer. Though the doe died shortly after, NPD Officer Matt Minuth responded to the scene and was able to save the life of the fawn. The baby deer was then taken to Oaken Acres, who cared for the animal. The money was raised by the department’s communications team employees for the chance to “dress down” at work twice a month.

Children’s Lunch Hour

Today is the first Children’s Lunch Hour of the season put on by the Naperville Park District. Every Tuesday at 11:30 a.m., with the exception of July 2, the park district will host the events where children can enjoy entertainment like music, magic, and comedy. The shows are held at either the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion or Frontier Sports Complex and more information can be found at the park district’s website.
