Chicago Wolves’ Tyler Wong Visits Naperville Library

Tyler Wong, who plays right wing for the Chicago Wolves, came to town as a part of the Wolves’ “Read to Succeed” program.

Tyler talked about what books meant to him growing up and why he, as a professional athlete, continues to read.
“I grew up on a farm so I wanted to be a horse vet, so I’ve always been a big reader and I still am,” said Tyler. “Now that I’m a hockey player I read a lot of sports psychology books, and autobiographies of athletes like Tom Brady and Tony Dungy.”

After talking about books, Tyler did some Q&A, signed autographs, and took photos.

One little girl even got to try on professional hockey gear.

And whether they got Chicago Wolves pencil cases, hats, or tickets to a game, everybody went home with a prize.

This is the 23rd season that Chicago Wolves have been doing Read to Succeed.
