In 2010, the who’s who of Naperville brought their best dance moves to a competition that would become an annual tradition. The city’s own “Dancing with the Celebrities” event began coincidentally the same year Naperville native and gold medalist in Olympic figure skating Evan Lysacek appeared on the hit ABC show “Dancing with the Stars.”

In a 6-3 vote, the Naperville City Council chose to grant landmark status to the Old Nichols Library against the wishes of the property owner.

September 11th, 2001, a day the entire country will never forget, and that dark day certainly hit close to home for our community.
