Remembering a Century of Heroes and Heritage
The 2019 Veterans Day ceremony honored the men and women who served and are currently serving in the armed forces. The ceremony was scheduled to take place at the Healing Field of Honor on Rotary Hill but was moved indoors following early morning snowfall. Veterans and their families came together to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The Veterans Day ceremony was hosted by the Naperville Healing Field of Honor Committee, Naperville American Legion, and Naperville VFW.
About The Healing Field of Honor
The Naperville Healing Field of Honor Committee in conjunction with the Naperville Park District brings an inspirational display of the Stars and Stripes to Rotary Hill. People have the opportunity to purchase a flag, dedicate a flag to a veteran and/or become a sponsor. The display features 2,019 flags in tribute to the American Legion and the veterans that make up their ranks, as the Legion serves all the men and women who have defended our nation. Proceeds benefit Operation Support Our Troops-America.
