Police Activity
The Naperville Police Department are conducting an investigation involving a homeowner on the 2800 block of Bluewater Circle.
At approximately 4:53 a.m. today, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence there.
According to police, upon arrival, officers were approached outside the residence by the victim, who indicated that the offender was still inside the home. Based on the nature of the incident and information provided to officers, the department’s Special Response Team was called to the scene.
At approximately 8:55 a.m., the suspect cooperated with police instructions to exit the residence and was taken into custody without incident.
There were no injuries reported to anyone involved in the incident.
The NPD continue to investigate, and more information will be released when it becomes available.
School Statement
The residence of this situation is located near Welch Elementary School, and Indian Prairie School District 204 released a statement saying:
“We have been informed by the Naperville Police that they are investigating a situation in our area on Bluewater Circle. As a result, they are rerouting traffic in the area.
Please know that our school day will begin as normal but there may be some delays as you travel to school this morning. The police have indicated this is a contained situation and there is no threat to the safety of our students or staff. As a precaution, we will be keeping our students inside during the school day until the police tell us they have resolved the issue.
