Naperville Park District Plans Atwater Playground

A new playground is slated for the Atwater Subdivision.

And to help choose the equipment, the Naperville Park District held an open house. Parents and kids were invited to come see all seven possible designs, and then select their favorite from the group. The park district will now use that information to help them select the playground.

All of the designs feature slides, swings and shelter, with varying additional equipment making each plan unique.

The project is expected to begin mid-July and be completed in September, with a budget of $200,000.

The average park district playground lasts for about 15 years.
